Aimbridge EMEA to step back from managing eight Borealis Hotel Group properties

After a successful 14-year partnership, Aimbridge Hospitality EMEA is to step back from managing the eight hotels it has previously operated within the Borealis Hotel Group portfolio.

The decision has been made amicably and follows strategic changes to Borealis’s operating model in recent years, resulting in direct management of the vast majority of the hotels in its core geographies.

Peter Verhoeven, CEO at Borealis, said: “It has been a pleasure working with the professional Aimbridge EMEA team and we cherish the relationship and recognize how valuable Aimbridge has been throughout Borealis’ development over the years.

David Anderson, divisional president at Aimbridge EMEA, said: “After supporting Borealis to reach this point, expanding rapidly across Europe, Aimbridge’s move away from operating these hotels allows the company to continue the next phase of its journey, self-managing properties in a number of markets. Aimbridge remains a valued associate of Borealis and continues to be on hand to support and lend its expertise to future projects.”
