Lodewijk van der Meulen decides that it is time for a new challenge.
After an inspiring but intensive period of more than 15 years, Lodewijk van der Meulen, co-founder and Partner of Borealis Hotel Group, is resigning his role as Managing Director and Director Legal & Development of the group effective 5 September 2024.
Lodewijk has played a significant role since 2009 in the rise of Borealis to the company it is today. A total of 38 hotels (7.144 rooms) were part of the endeavors of the Development Team led by Lodewijk. Among these were 23 greenfield developments and/ or new openings.
The Board of Directors is grateful for the valuable work of Lodewijk that formed an important contribution to the preferred market position of Borealis today and are pleased that Lodewijk remains involved in the group as a shareholder and wishes him all the best going forward.
