Hotel Development including Real Estate ownership

The basis of our Project development lies in the Dutch market. This is where we finetuned our today’s business model. As from 2016 we have applied our business model in many European countries and have we built up extensive knowledge regarding markets, feasibility studies, construction management and the legal part of contracts.
Our Development team regularly receives invites from hotel brands and real-estate developers to join forces for a hotel project (new or existing). Together we prepare studies to assess the feasibility of a project.
Our development team have deep knowledge of the brand standards of the various hotel brands, which ensures that the project is managed smoothly and efficiently.

The very first project of BHG was the Radisson SAS Schiphol Airport. We developed both the real estate and the hotel operation and effectuated a sale-and-lease-back of the real estate with an institutional investor. The profit of this project is the basis of the funding of our today’s business.
Also the development and later on the sale of the real estate and hotel operation of Holiday Inn Schiphol Airport was done by us, as was the purchase and sale of the prestigious Conservatorium hotel in Amsterdam.
A more recent example of real estate development combined with operation development is Novotel Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. After a sale-and-lease-back with an institutional investor, we still own and operate the operation. The design of this hotel became the flagship design at the time for the Novotel brand of  Accor.
Around the same time we bought an office building in Amsterdam South which we converted into the ibis budget Amsterdam City South. Also, this real estate has been sold to institutional investor, whereas the operation is still owned and managed by BHG.
Another example of acquiring, developing and selling real estate is our Hotel Indigo The Hague- Palace Noordeinde, of which we still own and manage the operation. The same applies to Hampton by Hilton Utrecht Central Station, with the understanding that we have also sold the operation of this hotel.
